
Our Academy is an alternative to the traditional recreational team program. It offers players the opportunity for advanced development in soccer through a progressive and sophisticated curriculum and unique academy structure.
The Program is committed to providing the correct environment and structure to create a well-rounded, Competitive Soccer ready player. Our program follows a training curriculum that is innovative, challenging, and fun. The unique structure of the Academy and the distinctive nature of the curriculum is conducive to optimum player development. The objective of the curriculum is to develop each of the four foundational components of a soccer player: Technical, Tactical, Psychological, and Physical in a progressive and age appropriate manner.
The Sting Academy is a challenging and rewarding experience for the players involved and serves as a bridge to Competitive Soccer. The Academy Staff are licensed coaches that pride themselves on providing a fun and safe learning environment that facilitates player growth and passion for the game.



MATT WALDOCH
Matt, originally from Geneva, Illinois, is the fifth of six siblings who still enjoy playing 3v3 together. A fan of the USMNT and USWNT, he frequently watches the English Premier League, NWSL, and Champions League. As a youth, he played for Fox Valley Strikers and Campton United, where he was a starting outside back on the 2016 NPL U-18 National Championship team. In 2017, Matt moved to Lincoln to attend the University of Nebraska, playing club soccer and serving as a practice player for the Senior Women’s team. He also played semi-pro for the Nebraska Bugeaters in 2018 while taking summer classes and graduated in 2021 with a degree in Family Science & Human Development and minors in Education & History. Matt began coaching with Capital Soccer Association in 2020, has worked with players aged 3 to 20, and has served as a staff coach for Nebraska ODP since 2022. He is currently pursuing his USSF “C” license and is committed to ongoing coaching education.
