The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) was established in 2009 as a sanctioned league by US Club Soccer. Its purpose is to enhance the development of young female soccer players in the United States. The league aims to achieve this by:
– Creating a national competitive league with multiple levels, thereby improving the overall competitive environment.
– Implementing a systematic scouting and identification program based on national competitions to identify elite players for U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Teams.
– Developing best practices, training methods, and organizational guidelines to improve the daily training environment at top youth soccer clubs that are members of the league.

The ECNL’s objective is to revolutionize the experience of elite soccer players in the United States by offering innovative, player-focused programs. The goal is to create a better, more enjoyable, and more successful model for player, coach, and club development.

To provide more opportunities for competition and player development, the ECNL introduced the ECNL Regional League during the 2019-20 season. The Regional League offers competitive matches within a professional setting. Teams in the ECNL Regional League travel for league games and follow the same structure as the Boys National Conference. This league presents an excellent opportunity for players to enhance their skills, compete against high-level opponents, and prepare for future collegiate competitions.
